Kazakhstan’s construction output up 13.3% in 2023Construction output in Kazakhstan totaled 7.495 trillion tenge in value in January-December 2023 or an increase of 13.3% year over year, the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms said.In the reporting period, construction and installation works rose by 9.4% to 6.311 trillion tenge in value compared to the same period of the previous year, major repairs grew by 54%, and scheduled maintenance went up by 28.1%.As many as 37,913 new buildings were put into operation in January-December 2023, including 35,329 residential buildings.In the 12 months of this year, as much as 3.09 trillion tenge was allocated for housing construction.Housing construction expenses accounted for 17.1% of all fixed capital investment.In the financing structure, the own funds of the developers made up 87.9% of all investment in this sector.The population of Kazakhstan is 20 million people (ICE ALMATY)
