The Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority and Windar Renovables, a manufacturer of substructures for offshore wind turbines, have signed an agreement on the lease of land for a wind farm components factory. Structure elements, i.e. towers and foundations, of wind turbines for offshore and onshore wind farms will be produced in Szczecin, and then the elements will be transported from the factory to installation sites at sea using sea transport. The investments of both Windar and Vestas, a provider of sustainable energy solutions, will create thousands of jobs and permanently change the economic landscape of Szczecin. (ICE VARSAVIA)
