The Lebanese Regulatory Administration for Tobacco and Tobacco Products (Regie) has launched an electronicplatform for tobacco farmers. This platform allows for remote and direct communication between the farmersand engineers, experts as well as specialized technicians for consultation and guidance, as per the GeneralDirector of Regie.  This comes as part of the administration’ goal of adopting digitalization into all of their operations. The platform  will service circa 25,000 farmers spread throughout Lebanon and was implemented to carry on with theadministration’s digital transformation, satisfy stakeholders and apply the goals of sustainable developmentthrough agricultural guidance and promotion of good agricultural practices.  The application includes services aiming to raise the awareness of farmers and cultivate agricultural culture.  Farmers using the platform will be able to receive guidance, solutions and suggestions directly in order to help  them face challenges in their work.
