IAA LEBANON CHAPTER LAUNCHES THE IAA LEBANON HALL OF FAME

The Lebanese Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) has decided to launch its first Hall ofFame. This Hall of Fame aims to recognize individuals with a minimum career length of 35 year who have hadsignificant contribution to the development and reputation of advertising in Lebanon and the Middle East.Those included in the Hall of Fame could be from any part of the advertising industry (including agencies, mediaorganizations, advertisers and academic institutions). Additionally, any voluntary efforts especially within theIAA are a key aspect in the nomination of individuals.  The nomination process involved members of the IAA Lebanon Chapter board which nominated individuals  by providing comprehensive biographies and detailing their impact on the industry. A council of judges  comprised of six prior presidents in the IAA convened in September 2023 to decide on the inductees. The  inaugural induction ceremony where inductees will be presented with a trophy to signify their membership in  the Lebanese Advertising Hall of Fame will be held in late January 2024.  This step comes as Lebanese marketing individuals have been instrumental in bridging the gap between  Western and Arab markets. Expertise from these individuals has pushed brands in to success and has influenced  consumer behavior and industry trends in the region, as per the President of the IAA Lebanon Chapter.  In turn, the IAA launched the yearly initiative of the Hall of Fame in order to honor the figures that have played a  role in shaping and advancing the industry in Lebanon and the Middle East.
