Kazakh President's Italy visit yields signing of series of key documentsSeveral key documents were signed during Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's visit to Italy, according to the head of state's press service.The President and the Prime Minister of Italy adopted a joint statement, and agreements were reached on various matters. These include the status of burial places for military personnel from the Second World War, cooperation between the Ministries of Justice, Culture, and Information, as well as the Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan and their counterparts in the Italian Republic.Other agreements include a memorandum of understanding between the Academy of Public Administration in Kazakhstan and the National School of Public Administration in Italy. An agreement was also made between the Kazakh Samruk-Kazyna fund and the Italian group Cassa Depositi i Prestiti for a joint investment fund targeting manufacturing, energy, and logistics. Additionally, a joint final investment decision was reached between KazMunayGas and the Italian company ENI for a 247 MW hybrid power plant project.Other documents involve a partnership between Samruk-Kazyna JSC and Balestra for constructing an 800,000-tonne sulfuric acid plant in the Turkestan region. A framework agreement was signed between Baiterek and SACE to set insurance limits for transactions with Italian participation in priority sectors. Cooperation was also established between Samruk-Energy JSC and Ansaldo Energia SpA for the reconstruction of Almaty CHPP-3, including a new combined cycle plant with a capacity of up to 544 MW.Additionally, a memorandum of cooperation was formalized between NCE Atameken and Confiindustria, focusing on supporting businesses from both countries and strengthening economic and trade ties.
