According to the latest data compiled by the Polish Chamber of Insurance (PIU), at the end of September 2023 a total of 4.69 million Poles had private health insurance policies, which represents an increase by ca. 15 percent on the year-earlier period. The data also show that during the first nine months of 2023 Poles spent ca. PLN1.2bn on such insurance policies, almost 34 percent more than in the corresponding period of 2022.  (ICE VARSAVIA)
