Four popular Lebanese restaurants and takeaways have made it through to the final of a prestigious kebab awards.  The British Kebab Awards, in partnership with JUST EAT, provide a platform to acknowledge and support the endeavours of local kebab takeaways and restaurants nationwide.  Those who appreciate their beloved neighbourhood kebab spots can assert that they possess the finest kebab takeaway and restaurant in Britain by casting their votes in the British Kebab Awards.  The award ceremony will be held at the Park Plaza Westminster Hotel in London at 5pm on Tuesday, February 27.  One of the categories for the 2024 awards is the ‘best Lebanese restaurant or takeaway’, and four finalists are located in no other than south London.  Lebanese cuisine captivates palates across the UK with its rich tapestry of flavours, blending fresh herbs, aromatic spices, and wholesome ingredients.  From the vibrant colours of mezze platters to the succulent skewers of grilled meats, each dish tells a story of culinary tradition and regional influence.  Libano Restaurant, located on Balham High Road, has bagged a space in the final, along with Lavalina Knightsbridge, and Maroush Beauchamp, both located on Beauchamp Place.  Another popular location which made it to the British Kebab Award final is the Lebanese restaurant Cedrus, which is located on Sidcup High Street.  The other six finalists are: - Awafi Foods in north London, - Beit El Zaytoun in north London, - Warda Lebenese restaurant in north London, - Comptoir Libanais in Bath  Kambis in Brighton, - Sqew Shawarma Bar in Leeds.  The awards ceremony on February 27 promises an evening of “glamour, entertainment, and mouth-watering kebabs”.  Renowned figures from the culinary world, influencers, and dignitaries will gather to celebrate the winners across various categories, including Best Kebab House, Best Newcomer, and Outstanding Contribution to the Kebab Industry.
