The Central Statistical Office (GUS) has reported that in December 2023, sold production of industry was 3.9 percent lower than in December 2022, when an increase was recorded by 1 percent compared with the corresponding period of 2021, whereas in comparison with November 2023, it decreased by 9.8 percent. The figures presented by the GUS are slightly better than expected as analysts had anticipated decreases by 5.6 percent and 10.7 percent respectively. The data presented by the statistical office also indicate that after eliminating the seasonal factors, in the final month of 2023 sold production of industry was 0.5 percent lower than in December 2022 and 2.9 percent higher than in November 2023.
