Cambodia's Trust market is rapidly growing, attracting investments worth $1.27 billion, according to Sok Dara, Director General of the Trust Regulator. Since the establishment of the Trust Regulator in 2021, the number of Trusts registered has reached 810, and the Regulator has provided licenses to 10 trust companies, 15 commercial banks for safe-keeping and escrow services, and 13 valuation companies for asset valuation services. The 'Law on Trusts' was promulgated in 2019, providing a framework for trust creation and management in Cambodia. The trust market in Cambodia provides certainty, security, and flexibility to investors, as it is legally well-regulated. In 2023, the Trust sector is expected to achieve remarkable growth, with more trusts being registered and companies given licenses.
