Dr. Majid Al-Waeli, the Governor of Al-Najaf, has announced the discovery of oil in the Oasis Al-Rahban area in the lowlands of Al-Najaf province.According to a statement from the Governor's office, the discovery was made by the Iraqi Oil Exploration Company and a group of foreign expertsAl-Waeli ordered the formation of a committee, chaired by Dr. Abdul-Hussein Al-Shubli, the advisor for administrative units and energy affairs, to follow up and maintain continuous communication with the Ministry of Oil and the Oil Exploration Company. The committee is tasked with providing logistical support to the exploration team, the relevant ministerial teams, and expediting the necessary procedures for the oil field.The Governor emphasized direct communication with the Ministry of Oil to expedite the preparations leading to oil production.
