JORDAN REGISTERS 17.5% DECREASE IN OIL EXPENDITURE FOR JANUARY-NOVEMBER 2023

The Oil bill during the January-November period of 2023 saw a notable 17.5 per cent reduction compared with the same period in 2022, as reported by the Department of Statistics (DoS) on Thursday. The DoS monthly report, cited by Jordan News Agency, Petra, revealed that the value of the oil bill for January-November 2023 decreased to JD2.723 billion, contrasting with JD3.302 billion in the same period of the previous year. Mineral fuels and other mineral oils topped the list of Jordan’s oil imports, amounting to JD893 million, followed by crude oil at JD661 million and gasoline at JD584 million. The Kingdom's imports of diesel amounted to JD546 million, followed by lubricants at JD35 million, and kerosene at a value of JD3 million, according to DoS figures. (ICE AMMAN)
