Kazakhstan to sign an agreement with EU on full loading of TITR - Ministry of TransportKazakhstan aims to sign an agreement with the EU on the full utilization of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), the republic’s Ministry of Transport said in a statement.The corresponding agreement was discussed at a meeting between the Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan, Marat Karabayev, and the European Commissioner for Transport, Adina Valyan, the press service of the ministry reported.“The meeting participants discussed the possibility of signing an agreement with the EU to fully load the TITR, develop the infrastructure and terminal network, and introduce a permit-free single form system for Kazakhstan,” the message released on Monday said.According to the press service of the ministry, during the meeting the parties also discussed key issues of developing the transport potential of Kazakhstan and Europe.“In addition, the negotiations touched upon the issues of transferring the ports of Aktau and Kuryk to trust management on a ship-or-pay basis in order to strengthen the maritime fleet and create a container hub in the Caspian Sea,” the press release notes.
