According to the latest data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS), in 2023 Poland’s GDP grew by 0.2 percent, slightly less than a year earlier and below the forecast of 0.6 percent, with private consumption down by 1 percent, which implies more or less zero growth y/y in Q4, 2023. Commenting on the figures, Credit Agricole experts note that private consumption shrank as Polish households were more eager to save money in the last three months of 2023.
