MORE water projects have been opened up for private sector investments by the government given supply constraints and an ongoing threat from the El Niño weather pattern. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) on Tuesday said that 112 more projects, in addition to 135 announced last year, would be offered to potential private sector partners. Environment Undersecretary Carlos Primo David claimed that some 60 firms had already expressed interest. He did not provide details but said the results were "very encouraging."
