According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Finance, in 2023 personal income tax revenue totalled PLN91.7bn, which represents an increase by ca. PLN23.6bn, i.e. 34.6 %, on the preceding year. In contrast, corporate income tax revenue, which amounted to PLN67.9bn, shrank by ca. PLN2.3bn, i.e. 3.2 %, compared with 2022. Over the past five years, personal income tax revenue has more than doubled, surging by 129 %, i.e. ca. PLN51.7bn, with the biggest growth recorded in the 2019-2020 period. (ICE VARSAVIA)
