The National Debt Register (KRD) has reported that since 2020, the beauty industry’s debts have grown by 20 % to PLN45.8m. Currently, in the KRD’s database there are 3,200 debtors representing the beauty industry, with average debt amounting to PLN14k. Meanwhile, a report published by the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) lists such challenges for the beauty industry as high taxes, increases in charges for premises, water, electricity, and gas as well as rising prices of cosmetics, the equipment needed to provide service as well as ongoing training.
