LEBANESE CARETAKER MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENT AT "WORLD GOVERNMENT SUMMIT"

Caretaker Minister of Environment, Nasser Yassin, participated on Wednesday in the 2nd day activities of the “World Government Summit” held in Dubai, where he confirmed in a statement “the continuation of the 'Green Investment Facility' program in Lebanon, which was launched during the World Government Summit of last year in Dubai,” pointing to "ongoing efforts to combat climate change by working to attract green investments."  Yassin touched on “working to attract green investments,” explaining that “the World Government Summit highlighted many issues, most notably how to develop government performance in Arab countries and employ artificial intelligence, in addition to discussing topical issues in the economic, geopolitical, and climate change fields.”  He concluded: "The World Government Summit comes at an important time after the end of the COP28 Climate Summit, which was hosted by the Emirate of Dubai to prepare governments to work on investing in green economy."
