EXPORTS OF POLISH PRODUCTS INCREASED IN 2023.
The Central Statistical Office published the latest information regarding exports. They show that in 2023, Polish exports abroad increased by 1.4% year on year to EUR 351 billion. In turn, imports decreased by 7% and amounted to EUR 340.5 billion.Last year, the fastest growth in exports concerned categories such as: beverages and tobacco (+17.9%), machinery and transport equipment (+5.7%), as well as food and live animals (+4 4.7%).The decrease concerned goods and transactions not classified in SITC (-34.4%), mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials (-19.2%), inedible raw materials except fuels (-15.7%), oils, fats, waxes animal and plant products (-10.6%), industrial goods classified mainly by raw material (-9.1%), chemicals and related products (-8.5%) and various industrial products (-0.2%) announced Central Statistical Office.As for imports, the largest increase was recorded in beverages and tobacco (+13.8%), food and live animals (+4%), and machinery and transport equipment (+2.8%).The largest decrease in imports was recorded in goods and transactions not classified in SITC (-61%), oils, fats, animal and plant waxes (by 28.2%), inedible raw materials except fuels (- 20.5%), mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials (-16.6%), industrial goods classified mainly by raw material (-16.2%), chemicals and related products (-11.2%) and miscellaneous industrial products (-7.2 %).
