BLIK, which already has ca. 15.6 million users in Poland, continues to improve its performance as in 2023 consumers made 921 million transactions using this payment system in e-commerce, which represents an increase by 29% on 2022, with the total value of such transaction reaching PLN125.6bn, up from PLN89.2bn a year earlier. Meanwhile, it looks like soon BLIK will be offered as a payment instrument not only by banks, but also by third-party applications as non-bank payment service providers are to be allowed access to all EU payment systems under a revised Payment Services Directive.
