Santander BP has published its financial statements for 2023 and in this period the bank generated a consolidated net profit of PLN4.83bn, which represents an increase by 73 percent on 2022, when the figure had reached PLN2.8bn. In Q4 the interest margin remained very high at 5.38 percent, averaging at ca. 5.4 percent throughout the year. The figures also show that at the end of 2023 the NPL ratio was at 4.6 percent, down from 5 percent in December 2022, with the ratio of provisions to non-performing loans at 55.4 percent, compared with 57.5 percent a year earlier.
