CDC OKAYS 22 INVESTMENT PROJECTS TO TUNE OF $444M

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved 22 investment projects worth $444 million in the first 15 days of February 2024. The projects are primarily focused on the industry sector, agriculture, agro-industry, and infrastructure development in Phnom Penh, Svay Rieng, Preah Sihanouk, and Kampong Spur provinces. Phnom Penh has four investment projects, including a data centre and cloud services, a factory for travel bags, and a garment factory. Svay Rieng, a province bordering Vietnam, has three projects, including a factory for home appliances and three factories in the Svay Reing Giga Resource Special Economic Zone. Preah Sihanouk has three projects, including coconut processing, dolls, pet supplies, and furniture production. Kampong Speu has three new manufacturers, while Steung Treng is ready to welcome two projects for fruit and pig farms. The remaining four projects include a streel business operation, a garment factory, and a factory for clothing and accessories. (ICE BANGKOK)
