Kazakhstan sees 0.6% increase in fixed asset investments in JanuaryIn January 2024, Kazakhstan saw investments in fixed assets totaling 790.8 billion tenge, marking a 0.6% increase compared to January 2023, according to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms.Statistical data reveals that the most attractive sectors for investment continue to be mining and quarrying (37%), real estate operations (18.2%), transport and warehousing (15.5%), and manufacturing (11.7%).During the reporting period, the primary sources of investment remained the own funds of business entities, amounting to 653.3 billion tenge, constituting 82.6% of the total. State budget funds comprised 2.8%, bank loans 1.6%, and other borrowed funds 13% (including 2.5% from non-residents).The official exchange rate as of February 22 stands at 450.80 tenge per dollar.
