CROATIA: INDUSTRIAL TURNOVER UP 14.2% Y-O-Y IN DECEMBER 2023

According to the State Bureau of Statistics (DZS) data released on 28 February, in December 2023, the total industrial turnover increased by 14.2% on a year-on-year basis compared to December 2022, and by 4.2% on a monthly basis compared to November 2023, Croatian media report.The DZS data shows that the total calendar-adjusted industrial turnover in December 2023, compared to the same month in 2022, increased by 18.2% on the domestic market and by 4.5% on the non-domestic market.Compared to November 2023, in December 2023, industrial turnover on the domestic market increased by 5.2%, while on the non-domestic market it decreased by 1.1%.According to the main industrial groupings, in December 2023 compared to December 2022, energy sales increased by 41.5%, capital goods by 19.7%, durable consumer goods by 8.5%, non-durable consumer goods by 7.6%, and intermediate goods by 6.8%..The DZS data also shows that on a monthly basis, by industrial groupings in December 2023 compared to November 2023, total sales of capital goods increased by 9.6%, durable consumer goods by 7.4%, and intermediate goods by 0.8%.At the same time, total sales of energy decreased by 6.3% and non-durable consumer goods by 1.7%.
