Kazakhstan to extend additional oil output cut for Q2 - Ministry of EnergyKazakhstan will continue its additional voluntary reduction in oil production by 82,000 barrels per day into the second quarter of 2024, as part of the OPEC+ deal."Kazakhstan will extend its additional voluntary production cut of 82,000  barrels per day for the second quarter of 2024, in coordination with select OPEC+ member countries," the Ministry of Energy said in a Sunday press release."This will lead to Kazakhstan's production reaching 1.468 million barrels per day by June 2024,” according to the statement."These additional production volumes may be restored gradually, depending on market conditions, to maintain stability," the Ministry said.This extension adds to Kazakhstan's existing voluntary reduction of 78,000 barrels per day, announced in April 2023, which remains in effect until December 2024.
