Lukoil starts building solar power plant in KazakhstanLUKOIL has begun the construction of a solar power plant in the Almaty region, Kazakhstan, marking the occasion by placing a commemorative capsule."The project will provide the production facilities of LLC LUKOIL Lubricants Central Asia, a wholly owned PJSC LUKOIL subsidiary, with environmentally friendly solar energy,” according to a press release from LUKOIL.The solar power plant will be located near LUKOIL's lubricants factory and have a capacity of 4.95 MW. The first 2 MW line is expected to be finished by 2024.In December 2023, LUKOIL signed the Oil & Gas Decarbonization Charter along with 50 other major energy companies of the world. (ICE ALMATY)
