To achieve this goal, the capacity of two parts of the Kazakh-Chinese pipeline, specifically the Atyrau-Kenkiyak and Kenkiyak-Kumkol sections, must be increased.Negotiations between KazMunayGas and CNPC focus on potentially expanding the Kenkiyak-Atyrau and Kenkiyak-Kumkol oil pipelines. These expansions aim to double the capacity of the Kenkiyak - Atyrau pipeline to 12 million tonnes per year and increase the Kenkiyak - Kumkol pipeline's capacity to 15 million tonnes.Magzum Mirzagaliyev, CEO of KazMunayGas, mentioned that the expansion of the Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline could cost approximately $200 million.
