Kazakh Defense Ministry denies info on alleged talks about procuring Russian defense industry products for Ukrainian Armed ForcesThe Kazakh Defense Ministry has denied rumors that the country is allegedly in talks with the Ukrainian state company Ukrspetsexport on procuring Russian military products for the Ukrainian Armed Forces."The information disseminated in the media and on social networks that Kazakhstan is allegedly holding talks with Ukrspetsexport on procuring Russian military products for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is not true," the Defense Ministry said in a statement released on Thursday.Kazakhstan introduced a ban on exporting weapons and military hardware beginning in 2022, the ministry said."In this regard, we are asking citizens and the mass media not to react to the disseminated rumors and to trust only official sources of information," it said.Some media earlier reported that Ukrspetsexport was allegedly holding talks with companies registered in Astana on supplying Russian defense industry products in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
