Kazakhstan's men budget up to 100,000 tenge for March 8 gifts, prioritizing flowers, sweets, and cosmetics - Freedom LifeBefore March 8, Freedom Life, a life insurance company, conducted a social survey targeting men aged 25-60 to determine their expected expenses for gifts on the occasion."Results revealed that: 46% of respondents earn between 200,000 to 500,000 tenge per month; 19% earn between 600,000 to 900,000 tenge per month; 16% earn between 1 million to 1.5 million tenge per month; 7% earn between 1.5 to 3 million tenge per month; 3% earn 3 million tenge or more per month; and 9% did not disclose their earnings,” according to the survey."The survey found that 87% of respondents can afford gifts like flowers, sweets, cosmetics, accessories, or treat their loved ones to a romantic dinner or spa services, all within the 100,000 tenge budget,” the survey says.However, 12% of participants planned to give gadgets (such as smartphones or laptops) and household appliances worth up to 1.5 million tenge as gifts. Additionally, 7% intended to offer jewelry or branded clothing valued between 50,000 to 500,000 tenge.A significant 9% of respondents mentioned either gifting or planning to gift a trip abroad. They reported that a week-long getaway for two in early March typically cost between 400,000, 700,000 tenge, whereas this year the range extends from 600,000 to 2 million tenge, including flights, accommodation, meals, and insurance.Freedom Life specialists, drawing insights from public data, outlined the expected costs of popular gifts for March 8, 2024: sweets: 5,000 to 15,000 tenge; flowers: 15,000 to 25,000 tenge; perfumes/cosmetics: 10,000 to 30,000 tenge; costume jewelry: 10,000 to 40,000 tenge; SPA services: 25,000 to 45,000 tenge; romantic dinner: 30,000 to 65,000 tenge; gadgets accessories: 40,000 to 130,000 tenge; household appliances (Dyson, Tefal etc): 35,000 to 300,000 tenge; jewelry: 80,000 to 400,000 tenge; gadgets: 120,000 to 600,000 tenge and a week-long vacation overseas: 600,000 to 2 million tenge.
