Kazakh parliament adopts law on transfer pricingThe Senate, the upper chamber of Kazakhstan’s parliament, adopted on Thursday the Law on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Transfer Pricing Matters.The law is aimed to improve transfer pricing mechanisms and to prevent government revenue losses from international business transactions, said Bekbolat Orynbekov, a member of the Finance and Budget Committee of the Senate.The new law will help identify a difference between the deal price and the market price in order to lower taxable income. The application of the norms specified in the law will help increase tax revenues, he added. (ICE ALMATY)
