Technonikol to triple investments in mineral wool production in RF, Kazakhstan to 10 bln rubles in 2024Technonikol Corporation will invest about 10 billion rubles in the production of mineral wool in Russia and Kazakhstan in 2024, the press service of the corporation's Mineral Insulation department reported.“The amount has almost tripled compared to last year’s investments. The company will begin construction of factories in the Rostov region and Karaganda (Kazakhstan), and will also develop the production of fiberglass,” the statement said.It is planned to increase shipments of import-substituting shipbuilding insulation and implement projects to improve the efficiency and environmental friendliness of existing enterprises.In September, Technonikol will open the first stone wool plant in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan, and will also begin construction of another plant in Karaganda. The company's investments in Kazakh projects this year will amount to 2.5 billion rubles.The press release notes that in the Russian Federation, Technonikol intends to expand the production of insulating materials, including specialized products for industries important to the economy. Thus, the Chelyabinsk Techno Plant will significantly increase the production of insulation for ships and offshore oil and gas structures, the production of which started there last year. The press service emphasizes that this helped to compensate for the departure of foreign suppliers from the country and maintain the stability of the shipbuilding industry.The Technonikol Corporation has been operating since 1992 and is a large manufacturer and supplier of roofing, waterproofing and thermal insulation materials.
