EAEU nations boost output of agricultural goods 0.5% in Jan - EECEAEU nations increased output of agricultural goods 0.5% year-on-year in January 2024, according to a statement by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).Growth was observed in Belarus (by 4.3%), Kyrgyzstan (by 1.4%) and Kazakhstan (by 0.4%), while output declines in Russia (by 0.2%). Data for Armenia was not presented as it is published on a quarterly basis.Livestock and poultry production for slaughter (live weight) increased by 1% compared to January 2023 and amounted to 1.565 million tonnes, while milk production grew by 3.2% to 3.388 million tonnes. Egg production fell 0.9% to 4.35 billion units.The increase in production of livestock and poultry for slaughter (live weight) was logged in Belarus (by 4% up to 145,400 tonnes), Russia (by 0.9% up to 1.246 million tonnes) and Kyrgyzstan (by 0.7% up to 31,600 tonnes), while declines were seen in Kazakhstan (by 1.2% to 149,100 tonnes). Milk production grew in all EAEU countries (excluding data on Armenia). Growth in Belarus totaled 6.8% to 710,100 tonnes, Kazakhstan - 5.9% to 251,400 tonnes, Russia - 2% to 2.342 million tonnes, Kyrgyzstan - 1.5% to 84,300 tonnes.Growth in egg production was seen in Kyrgyzstan (by 15.3% to 42.5 million units), Belarus (9.6% to 303.3 million units) and Kazakhstan (0.5% to 345.5 million units), while output in Russia declined 1.9% to 3.659 billion units).
