US energy agency raises liquid hydrocarbon production forecast for Kazakhstan in 2024-2025The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) has revised its forecast upwards for liquid hydrocarbon production in Kazakhstan for 2024-2025.In its March forecast, the department anticipates that liquid hydrocarbon production in Kazakhstan will reach 1.95 million barrels per day in 2024, up from its February forecast of 1.92 million barrels per day.The forecast for oil production in the first quarter of 2024 is 1.94 million b/d (compared to the February forecast of 1.86 million b/d), rising to 1.94 million b/d in the second quarter (1.92 million b/d in February), and 1.93 million b/d in the third quarter (1.92 million b/d in February). The fourth quarter is expected to see a production of 1.99 million b/d, up from 1.96 million b/d forecasted in February.Looking ahead to 2025, the EIA predicts liquid hydrocarbon production in Kazakhstan to reach 2.07 million b/d, compared to the previous forecast of 2.04 million b/d. This includes projections of 2.05 million b/d in the first quarter (compared to 2.06 million b/d), 2.08 million b/d in the second quarter (compared to 2.05 million b/d), 1.98 million b/d in the third quarter (compared to 1.94 million b/d), and 2.16 million b/d in the fourth quarter (compared to 2.10 million b/d).
