Kazakh emergency services to purchase L-410NG aircraft from Czech OmnipolKazakhstan's Minister of Emergency Situations Chingiz Arinov has finalized an agreement with Czech company Omnipol for the procurement of L-410NG turboprop aircraft, as announced by the Ministry's press service on Wednesday.The L-410NG aircraft is intended for use in a variety of operations, including search and rescue missions and air ambulance services, with the capability to operate on short unpaved runways.“Both parties have committed to enhancing specialist training and personnel development,” according to the Ministry.This agreement aligns with Kazakhstan's emergency aviation development program for 2020-2029, which aims to acquire 58 aircraft (26 airplanes and 32 helicopters), including two jet aircraft, four L-410NG aircraft for interregional flights, and 20 DeHavilland Viking Twin Otter aircraft for regional flights. Presently, Kazaviaspas, the Emergency Ministry's airline, operates 32 aircraft.The L-410NG, manufactured in the Czech Republic, is designed to accommodate up to 19 passengers or transport over two tonnes of cargo.
