THAI CONSUMER CONFIDENCE REACHED A 4-YEARS HIGH IN FEBRUARY

Thai consumer confidence reached a 48-month high in February due to government support measures and tourism. However, concerns about global economic slowdown and geopolitical conflicts remain. The government plans to implement a 500-billion-baht handout policy and visa waivers for Chinese and Indian nationals to stimulate the economy. Despite these efforts, the UTCC consumer index rose to 63.8 in February, marking the seventh consecutive monthly increase. Despite these efforts, the economy expanded by only 1.9% last year.
