NEOM SEEKS FIRMS FOR SEWAGE TREATMENT PROJECT

Saudi Arabia’s Neom, through its subsidiary Enowa, has sought interest from companies for a project to develop the first phase of an independent sewage treatment plant (ISTP) catering to The Line at Neom in Saudi Arabia.  Enowa issued an expression of interest (EoI) request for the project in February. The planned ISTP will have a capacity of 250 million litres a day (MLD), equivalent to 250,000 cubic metres a day (cm/d). The project's first phase is understood to have a capacity of 61MLD. Several water infrastructure projects are in the bidding and construction stages at Neom. A Japanese-French team comprising Itochu and Veolia is developing an independent water project (IWP). An engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor is expected to be appointed imminently for the planned 500,000 cm/d zero liquid discharge facility. Enowa is also procuring a smaller seawater reverse osmosis plant, with a capacity of 150,000 cm/d, on a fast-track EPC basis. It will be located adjacent to the existing desalination plant at Duba on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast.     For registration as supplier: https://www.neom.com/en-us/our-business/suppliers (ICE RIYADH)
