HOT WEATHER, STRONG ECONOMY TO BUMP ELECTRICITY DEMAND BY 3.1%: EPPO
Thailand's Energy Policy and Planning Office predicts a 3.1% increase in electricity usage this year due to improved economic growth and hot weather. The National Economic and Social Development Council predicts a 2.2-3.2% growth rate, with an average 1.2°C temperature rise. The EPPO expects fuel oil usage to rise by 3.1%, natural gas by 2.5%, and coal by 2.4% in 2024. (ICE BANGKOK)
