QIDDIYA ANNOUNCES DRAGON BALL THEME PARK

Saudi Arabia's Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) has announced the launch of the Dragon Ball theme park in its Qiddiya City on the outskirts of Riyadh. The announcement comes after QIC signed an agreement with the Japanese firm Toei Animation, the original animators of Dragon Ball. The anime theme park will span more than 500,000 square metres and consist of seven themed zones including Kame House, Capsule Corporation and Beerus’ Planet. The park offers over 30 rides with five attractions including a rollercoaster that passes through the 70-metre Shenron landmark. The development also includes themed hotels. The announcement of the Dragon Ball theme park comes after Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud launched the urban design for Qiddiya City in December last year. Qiddiya City will be an entertainment destination established on a 367 square-kilometre site about 45 kilometres from Riyadh city centre. It will include a gaming and e-sports district, a speed park, golf courses, a water theme park, Six Flags theme park, Dragon Ball theme park and a multipurpose stadium. The masterplan images also show a series of mixed-use tower buildings. The project is funded directly by the Public Investment Fund (PIF).   For registration as supplier: https://projectsuppliers.net/en/approvals/qiddiya (ICE RIYADH)
