Kazakh businesses did not receive 600 bln tenge of VAT refund in 2023Almost 500 companies in Kazakhstan did not get about 600 billion tenge worth of VAT refund last year, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov said.“In 2023, business entities got VAT refund except 485 export companies that did not receive about 600 billion tenge [worth of VAT refund],” Bektenov said at a Tuesday meeting of the government.As a result, the entrepreneurs did not have as much working capital as they should have had, which was a violation of their rights, according to the prime minister.Bektenov ordered the Ministry of Finance to return VAT to the business entities and to take measures to simplify the VAT refund procedure.
