ELECTRICITY IMPORTS CONTINUE TO RISE
According to the information obtained from Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne, in January and February 2024 Poland exported 1,712.6 GWh of electricity, compared with 1,768.2 GWh a year earlier, and imported 2,665.4 GWh of electricity, up from GWh 2,095.7 in January-February 2023. The data also show that during the first two months of 2024, Poland imported ca. 40 % of electricity comes from Germany, up from 31 % a year earlier, followed by Sweden (21 %, down from 35 %) and the Czech Republic (17 %, up from more than 9 %).
