NEOM SEEKS FIRMS FOR COAST GUARD RESIDENTIAL VILLAGE

Saudi Arabia’s Neom has sought interest from companies to develop the Coast Guard residential village, 20km south of Haql north of the Gulf of Aqaba coastal road. Neom issued an expression of interest request for the project in February with a deadline of 13 March. The project will be developed on a design and build basis over an area of 1 square kilometre. It includes residential facilities, administration buildings, military and police building, mosques, retail shopping centre, sports facilities, healthcare clinic, schools, civil defence facility, warehouses, waste management facility and associated infrastructure. The project will be developed in two phases. The first phase will occupy 418,500 square metres and will be fenced off until the second phase expansion. The contract duration is 15 months from the start date of construction. In March, it issued two tenders for the development of roads for the Jungle Club and the Southern Gateway clusters of the Gulf of Aqaba. In September last year,  Neom had selected a joint venture of the local Al-Ayuni Investment Company and Turkish contractor Limak Holding to deliver the early works for the Cube mountain resort at the Gulf of Aqaba in Neom. The scope of work includes enabling works, drilling of vertical and inclined boreholes, a drill-and-blast construction access tunnel, excavation works at the top of the mountain and other associated works. The Cube will be built on top of a mountain overlooking the Gulf of Aqaba. Each side of the Cube building will be about 100 metres. The Gulf of Aqaba is a 120km-long coastal strip at Neom with an average width of 3.5km. The total land area is about 430 square kilometres.   For registration as supplier: https://www.neom.com/en-us/our-business/suppliers (ICE RIYADH)
