NEOM'S GULF OF AQABA MOVES BEYOND INSTAGRAM

Neom launched the Treyam tourism project in the Gulf of Aqaba in mid-March. It is the tenth tourism development project announced in the region over the past six months. The project was launched with the same computer-generated imagery (CGI) that accompanied other recent launches. As expected, they created a significant buzz on social media. With the launches coming to an end, the focus now turns to construction. Neom organised a contractor's meeting in mid-March in preparation for delivering the schemes in the Gulf of Aqaba and other areas of Neom such as The Line, Trojena, Oxagon, Sindalah Island and Shusha Island. The projects face many delivery challenges. The two key hurdles Neom faces with the Gulf of Aqaba are its remote location and the technical complexity of the buildings. The region's remote location demands robust infrastructure development. Establishing transportation networks, including roads, ports and airports, is crucial to facilitating the efficient and cost-effective movement of materials, equipment, and personnel. The projects are also technically challenging. The recently launched Treyam has two main buildings on either side of a bay. They are connected by a 450-metre-long skybridge with an infinity pool 36 metres above the sea. Successful delivery of the Gulf of Aqaba will hinge on Neom's collaboration with skilled contractors and vendors capable of efficiently executing diverse projects. The project launches over the past six months have captured the construction industry's imagination. That challenge now is attracting its services.   For registration as supplier: https://www.neom.com/en-us/our-business/suppliers (ICE RIYADH)
