CROATIA: CROATIAN SHIPYARD BUILDING FIRST LUXURY ECO-RESIDENTIAL SHIP

Storylines, a pioneer in the residential ship industry, has renewed its shipbuilding contract with Croatia’s Brodosplit shipyard to construct the first private residential ship that is environmentally sustainable. The signing of the shipbuilding contract marks a significant milestone in maritime innovation.The ship, named MV Narrative, will symbolise the fusion of luxury living and environmental responsibility. Stretching 778 feet (233 meters) long, it will accommodate 531 private residences, using liquefied natural gas (LNG) propulsion, making it a pioneer in sustainable maritime transport, Brodosplit said in a statement today. Tomislav Debeljak, the President of the Management Board of Brodosplit, added, “Since the last contract, much work has been done on the ship’s design in preparation for construction. Technical teams on both sides have been collaborating intensively with external experts in hydrodynamics, noise, and vibration, as well as with experts from major equipment suppliers and Lloyd’s Register classification society. Today, we have a ship design that incorporates improvements in sustainability, cyber security, propulsion, and propulsion systems, etc. We have an environmentally friendly ship with optimal performance in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.”In a mutually beneficial collaboration, Storylines and Brodosplit embark on an innovative journey to redefine luxury living at sea.
