PIF FIRM AWARDS AL ULA MONOLITH RESORT PACKAGE

Saudi Arabia's Destinations Development Company (DDC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saudi sovereign wealth vehicle the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has awarded an enabling works tender for the Monolith resort in the Al Ula region of Saudi Arabia. The tender was awarded to the local firm Ammico Contracting, and mobilisation is expected to start by mid-April. The development, known as Project W, includes the construction of a 1,000-key Monolith resort on top of an escarpment, and associated infrastructure works. The development will also include a spa, an amphitheatre, stables, horse-riding areas, a water park, a hilltop area, a sports centre, an augmented reality/virtual reality hub, an observatory and planetarium, and an 18-hole championship golf course. Project W is located on Route 375, which is a 25-minute drive from the town of Al Ula. In January, the client issued tenders for several packages for the development. The enabling works tender was floated in the second half of 2023, and bids for the contract were submitted on 4 December. DDC also issued a tender for the main contract in December last year. The deadline for submitting bids is 29 April. In August last year, the client issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the construction of a water supply network for the development.     For Registration as supplier: https://s1.mn2.ariba.com/Sourcing/Main/aw?awh=r&awssk=gbn2SP5pBLlIx0At&realm=RCU&dard=1 (ICE RIYADH)
