QIDDIYA APPOINTS LIGHT RAIL AND CABLE CAR ADVISOR

Saudi Arabia's Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) has appointed French engineering firm Systra as a lead consultant to design the proposed light rail transit and cable car facility at Qiddiya Entertainment City. The design works are ongoing and are expected to be completed by 2025. The projects will serve various developments in Qiddiya City. In December last year, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman Al Saud launched the urban design for the City. Qiddiya City will be an entertainment destination established on a 367-square-kilometre site about 45 kilometres from Riyadh city centre. It will include a gaming and e-sports district, a speed park, golf courses, a water theme park, a Six Flags theme park, a Dragon Ball theme park and a multipurpose stadium. The masterplan images also show several mixed-use tower buildings. The project is funded directly by the Saudi sovereign wealth vehicle the Public Investment Fund.   For registration as supplier: https://projectsuppliers.net/en/approvals/qiddiya (ICE RIYADH)
