ONLINE SHOPPING GROWS EVEN MORE POPULAR IN POLAND, STUDY SHOWS

Online shopping is becoming increasingly popular among Poles with 60 percent of them making online purchases more often than in the past, according to a recent report.A study commissioned by the Santander Consumer Bank shows that 47 percent of Poles spend most of their free time shopping online and six out of ten respondents noticed doing it more often than in previous years. The results of the study showed that all surveyed age groups shop online more often than they used to. It appears that an increase in the use of e-commerce outlets was the most visible among 40-year-olds with more than two thirds of them admitting such a tendency. As much as 86 percent of Poles buy products on e-commerce platforms such as Allegro or Amazon. This is most prevalent among people aged between 18 and 29 (91 percent) and among 50-year-olds (also 91 percent). These platforms are least popular with people aged over 60 (74 percent). The study for the Santander Consumer Bank was conducted by IBRIS researcher between February 7 and 22, 2024 on a representative sample of 1,000 adult Poles who use the internet.  (ICE VARSAVIA)
