The war in Ukraine is forcing Ukrainian entrepreneurs to expand into other countries, including Poland, and now Three Bears, a leading ice-cream and frozen food producer in Ukraine, has taken over Nordis Chłodnie Polskie. Commenting on the acquisition, Food Research Institute expert Dariusz Chołost notes that the Polish ice-cream market is highly competitive and the new owner of Nordis is likely to focus on the frozen food market. “This is a fast-growing category and many retail chains are keen to expand their offerings to include such private label products,” he adds.
