CASHLESS TRANSACTIONS INCREASINGLY POPULAR

A survey commissioned by the Cashless Poland Foundation shows that in 2023, more than 65 % of all retail transactions in stores and service outlets were carried out using cashless forms of payment, 3 % more than in the preceding year. The survey also shows that customers were keen to use alternatives to cash in shoe and clothing shops (70 %), big-box stores (69 %) as well as bookshops, newsagents, and stationery shops (65 %). In contrast, customers tended to pay in cash for services provided at home (60 %), at the hairdresser’s and for repairs (52 %) as well as at garages and car dealerships (52%). (ICE VARSAVIA)
