POLISH DRIVERS SPEND MILLIONS MORE ON FUEL IN 2023

Drivers in Poland spent PLN 460 million (EUR 108 million) more on fuel in 2023 compared to the previous year, the Polish Organisation of Oil Industry and Trade (POPiHN) has reported. According to the data, drivers paid PLN 190 billion (EUR 45 billion) on fuel, PLN 460 million (EUR 108 million) more than the year prior, even though prices were lower. POPiHN’s data suggests that in 2023 the number of filling stations in Poland also rose by roughly 0.2 percent. The biggest company on the market remains Orlen. The volume of fuels (petrol, diesel and autogas) sold at gas stations in 2023 was estimated at around 31 billion litres. (ICE VARSAVIA)
