Rail transportation in Kazakhstan down 0.7% in Q1The volume of freight transportation by rail in Kazakhstan decreased by 0.7% in January-March 2024 to make 70.7 million tonnes compared with the same period of the previous year, the Transport Ministry said.This year, the railway operator has acquired 113 new locomotives and 242 new freight cars.Today, there are as many as 136,000 freight cars in operation in the republic.
