Azerbaijan ready to accept up to 2.2 million tonnes of Kazakh oil annually for transportation, Kazakh Energy MinistryKazakhstan and Azerbaijan have reached an agreement on a gradual increase in supplies of Kazakh oil, with Baku ready to accept up to 2.2 million tonnes for subsequent transportation, the Kazakh Energy Ministry said."In March 2024, KazMunayGas and SOCAR signed an agreement to incrementally boost the transit of Kazakh oil through Azerbaijan. Following discussions, Azerbaijan expressed its readiness to increase its intake of Kazakh oil to 2.2 million tonnes annually," the Ministry said.Furthermore, KazMunayGas and SOCAR have jointly developed a roadmap to enhance the transit of Kazakh oil through Azerbaijan. Additionally, they have agreed to transport 1.5 million tonnes of Kazakh oil annually via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. (ICE ALMATY)
